Development of the park was the project of the Byron Area Historical Society assisted by a grant from the state of Georgia.
Sitting off of I-75 headed to Macon Georgia there is an old drive range for golfers, it was also used as a family fun center with put-put for the kids. This driving range went out of business shortly after the I-75/City of Macon was anexing the land for a new ramp to cut through it.

This motel/hotel is on the outskirts of Elko Georgia, hidden back behind brush and a dilapidated piece of property. It looks to one time be a very nice little place to stay if you were traveling through South Georgia.
The Mae Chapel is a tiny one-room schoolhouse that sits off Dublin Highway, on the outskirts of Cochran Georgia. The tiny little schoolhouse has been turned into a museum by the Bleckley County Retired Educators Association.
